The Hinson name has defined Gospel Music for decades. A family of talented singers and writers, they have given us the greatest songs in the genre's history" says Bret Walton of Destiny Now Records. Formerly known as The New Hinsons, The Hinsons have been one of Southern Gospel Music elite families. Bo Hinson was inducted into the GMA Hall Of Fame in November 2006 as a member of The Original Hinsons. Traveling is once again a family affair as Lead Singer Bo Hinson and Bo’s sister Kym (Hinson) Calvery have taken on vocal responsibilities with industry regular Shawn McDougal rounding out the line-up for The Hinsons.
Their latest recording “Favor” has been highly acclaimed by industry insiders as uniquely “Hinson.” This family has a country sound that is all their own. Bo and Kym’s father is Ronnie Hinson who was an original member of the Hinson dynasty and has penned some of gospel greatest favorites like The Lighthouse, When He Was On The Cross, That I Could Still Go Free, Too Many Times and others.
